Position Summary:
We are looking for a highly organized, technologically adept, and safety-conscious Site Store Manager to oversee all material and equipment management across multiple project sites and associated godowns/yards throughout India. This pivotal role demands a professional capable of handling the total inventory of projects, generating precise procurement lists and schedules, managing goods receipt and issue, and ensuring real-time tracking of all materials and equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for meticulous housekeeping, waste management, and ensuring the safety and security of all materials, including scrap and hazardous items. This role requires a proactive individual who can provide real-time updates and generate comprehensive reports, leveraging construction software for optimal inventory and material tracking.
Detailed Roles & Responsibilities:
As a Site Store Manager for our Pan-India Company, you will be responsible for the comprehensive and strategic management of all site-level materials and equipment, including but not limited to:

Comprehensive Inventory & Material Management:

Manage multiple stores, godowns, material yards, and scrap yards across various project sites.

Handle the total inventory of each project, ensuring optimal stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.

Monitor consumption rates, forecast future requirements, and oversee inter-site material transfers for efficient resource allocation.

Procurement & Logistics Coordination:

Generate accurate procurement lists with detailed schedules and coordinate with procurement/vendor management team for timely material and equipment delivery.

Handle Goods Receipt Acknowledgements (GRN) and Goods Issue Undertakings (GIA), ensuring meticulous documentation and accounting for all transactions.

Track concerned engineers, supervisors, and vendors for material accountability and project progress.

Site Operations & Housekeeping Management:

Oversee and manage housekeeping at all project sites, ensuring clean, organized, and hazard-free store spaces and overall site conditions.

Organize the proper stacking and storage of all materials across the entire site, adhering to safety guidelines (e.g., IS:7969) to prevent falling or collapse.

Manage waste disposal, collection, and recycling facilities at site, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Be the responsible person for the safety and security of all materials, scraps, and material-specific hazards (due to improper placement/stacking/storing) at site.
-
Ensure proper issuance and management of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to dedicated labourers, referring to safety officer induction statements.

Oversee equipment operation and management, including maintenance schedules, usage tracking, and ensuring compliance with machine usage regulations.

Reporting & Documentation:

Generate all daily and periodical reports and records pertinent to the store department and specific activities (e.g., daily construction reports, inventory reports, equipment usage logs).

Provide real-time updates of all materials and equipment at site through real-time tracking systems.

Maintain accurate project documentation and records for effective audits and operational improvement.

Project Planning & Cost Estimation Involvement:

Involve in each project planning stage, contributing to scheduling and cost estimation processes by providing accurate material and equipment data.

Qualifications:

Education & Certifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, or a related field.

Professional certifications such as Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI, or relevant Quantity Surveying certifications (e.g., MRICS) are highly desirable.

Required Experience:

Minimum of 6-9 years of progressive experience in store management, inventory control, or logistics within the construction or infrastructure industry.

Proven track record of managing multiple stores/godowns, material yards, and scrap yards across diverse geographical locations (pan-India experience highly preferred).

Experience in an MNC environment is a significant advantage.

Demonstrated experience in managing total project inventory for large-scale construction projects.

Technical Proficiencies:

Advanced proficiency in construction software for store inventory and specific material trackers (e.g., Inniti, NYGGS, Power-Play, Xero, Foundation, Matrak).

Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel for detailed reporting and data analysis.
