Position Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Architect who will report directly to the Senior Architect. This pivotal role involves assisting in the design and development of our diverse projects, ensuring that architectural solutions are innovative, functional, and compliant. The ideal candidate will possess a strong creative flair, solid technical skills, and a keen interest in learning and growing within an integrated project delivery environment. They will be responsible for preparing architectural drawings, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams under supervision, and contributing to the seamless integration of design with construction and project management capabilities. This individual will be an invaluable asset to the Senior Architect and the broader design team.

Detailed Roles & Responsibilities:

As an Architect, you will act as a key subordinate to the Senior Architect, assisting in various aspects of architectural design and development across our projects, including but not limited to:

• Design Development & Documentation:

  • Assist the Senior Architect in the conceptualization and development of architectural designs from initial client briefs through to detailed design stages.

  • Prepare and refine architectural drawings (2D & 3D CAD) and Building Information Models (BIM) under supervision, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design intent. 1

  • Develop detailed architectural plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.

  • Support the preparation of design briefs, master plans, and comprehensive architectural documentation.

• Project Coordination & Integration:

  • Collaborate with GM under the guidance of the Senior Architect to ensure seamless integration of design with construction methodologies, scheduling, and cost estimation.

  • Assist in coordinating architectural designs with structural, MEP, landscape, and other specialist consultants to ensure a cohesive project design.

  • Participate in constructability reviews and value engineering discussions, providing input on design optimization.

• Client & Stakeholder Support:

  • Support the Senior Architect in client interactions, including preparing presentation materials and assisting in design review meetings.

  • Help incorporate client feedback into design revisions and assist in securing necessary approvals.

• Technical Compliance & Quality Assurance:

  • Assist in ensuring all architectural designs comply with national and local building codes, zoning laws, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

  • Support the preparation of high-quality architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Assist in design audits and reviews to identify non-conformances and support the initiation of corrective action plans to maintain design integrity and quality.

  • Help verify all scope, specifications, quality, and aesthetics from the client's perspective.

• Reporting & Record-Keeping:

  • Maintain meticulous records of design iterations, client feedback, change orders, and all project-related architectural documentation.

  • Assist in preparing design progress reports and technical presentations for the Senior Architect and project teams.

• Learning & Professional Development:

  • Actively seek opportunities to learn from the Senior Architect and other experienced team members, enhancing technical skills and design acumen.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, construction technologies, and sustainable design practices.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  • Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) from a Council of Architecture (COA) recognized institution is mandatory.

• Professional Registration:

  • Registered with the Council of Architecture (COA), India, or actively working towards registration.

• Certifications (Highly Desirable):

  • Certifications in software (e.g., AutoCAD/ArchiCAD, Google Sketchup/3DSMax, Lumion/V-Ray, Photoshop/Coral draw).

  • Certifications in BIM software.

Expertise & Experience:

• Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in architectural design and development, preferably with some exposure to construction projects or an integrated project delivery environment.

• Strong knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD drawings (AutoCAD) and proficiency in preparing detailed architectural drawings. 1

• Familiarity with Building Information Modelling (BIM) software (e.g., Autodesk Revit Architecture) is highly desirable. 1

• Basic understanding of rendering and visualization software (e.g., SketchUp, V-Ray) is a plus.

• Knowledge of Indian building codes, local regulations, and construction materials/technologies.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical plans.
