Position Summary:

We are looking for an accomplished and strategic Senior Architect who will take full responsibility for the design and development of our diverse projects. Reporting to the Senior Management / Administration team, this pivotal role involves leading the architectural vision, ensuring design excellence, and seamlessly integrating design solutions with our construction and project management capabilities. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with exceptional creative flair, strong technical acumen, and a proven ability to manage complex design processes, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and deliver aesthetically pleasing, functional, and compliant designs. This individual will be a key driver of our integrated approach, ensuring that our architectural solutions are innovative, constructible, and aligned with client vision and project objectives.

Detailed Roles & Responsibilities:

As a Senior Architect, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of architectural design and development across our projects, including but not limited to:

• Design Leadership & Conceptualization:

  • Lead the conceptualization and development of architectural designs from initial client brief through to detailed design stages, ensuring alignment with client vision, project objectives, and company standards.

  • Translate client requirements and project specifications into innovative and functional architectural solutions.

  • Develop comprehensive design briefs, master plans, and detailed architectural drawings (2D & 3D CAD, BIM).

• Project Integration & Coordination:

  • Collaborate extensively with DIRECTOR Construction from project inception to ensure seamless integration of design with construction methodologies, scheduling, and cost estimation.

  • Participate actively in constructability reviews and value engineering exercises to optimize design for cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and buildability without compromising quality or aesthetics.

  • Coordinate architectural designs with structural, MEP, landscape, and other specialist consultants to ensure a fully integrated and cohesive project design.

• Client & Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as the primary architectural liaison with clients, understanding their needs, presenting design solutions, and managing expectations with clarity and diplomacy.

  • Conduct regular design review meetings with clients and stakeholders, incorporating feedback and securing necessary approvals.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.

• Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all architectural designs comply with national and local building codes, zoning laws, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

  • Oversee the preparation of high-quality architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Conduct design audits and reviews to identify non-conformances and initiate corrective action plans to maintain design integrity and quality.

  • Verify all scope, specifications, quality, and aesthetics from the client's perspective, ensuring the final design meets expectations.

• Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain meticulous records of all design iterations, client approvals, change orders, and project-related architectural documentation.

  • Prepare and present comprehensive design progress reports, technical presentations, and feasibility studies to senior management and clients.

• Team Leadership & Mentorship:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior architects and design teams, fostering a culture of creativity, technical excellence, and continuous professional development.

  • Review and approve design work performed by junior team members, ensuring adherence to standards and project requirements.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  • Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) from a Council of Architecture (COA) recognized institution is mandatory.

  • A Master of Architecture (M.Arch) or a Master's degree in a relevant specialization is highly preferred.

• Professional Registration:

  • Registered with the Council of Architecture (COA), India.

  • Membership in the Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) is desirable.

• Certifications (Highly Desirable):

  • LEED Green Associate or LEED AP certification.

  • Certifications in advanced BIM software.

Expertise & Experience:

• Minimum of 8-15 years of progressive experience in architectural design and development, with a significant portion (at least 4-5 years) in a senior or lead architectural role.

• Proven track record of successfully leading the design and development of diverse and large-scale projects (e.g., residential, commercial, hospitality, institutional) from concept to completion.

• Extensive experience working within or closely with construction and project management teams, ideally in a turnkey or integrated project delivery environment.

• Expert-level proficiency in architectural design software, including:

  • CAD Software: AutoCAD/ArchiCAD (2D & 3D) for drafting and detailing.

  • BIM Software: Documentation, and collaboration.

  • Rendering & Visualization Software: Lumion/V-Ray, SketchUp/3DSMax, Photoshop/Coral Draw.

  • Presentation Software: Adobe Creative Suite.

• In-depth knowledge of Indian building codes, local regulations, sustainable design principles, and construction materials/technologies.

• Strong understanding of project management principles, work schedules, and resource coordination.
